Dr Pratyush Giri completed physician training in New Zealand, after which he trained in Haematology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and what used to be the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Sciences (now SA Pathology). He practises as a consultant clinical and laboratory haematologist at the Royal Adelaide and the Lyell McEwen Hospitals. 

He has particular expertise in lymphoma and is the clinical co-lead of the lymphoma program. He has a large portfolio of clinical research projects and is a principal investigator for several current national and international clinical trials. His interests are in both malignant and non-malignant haematology, with a special interest in the management of lymphoproliferative disorders and chronic leukaemias. 

He is very disciplined when it comes to exercise and enjoys (both watching and playing) cricket. He is also a massive rugby fan - ALL BLACKS or Nothing!
